Trauma-Informed
Sound Healing for
Sexual Assault Survivors
Your nervous system needs
a place to reset.
Trauma lives in the body as much as the mind. Sound healing is a gentle, body-centered practice that uses vibrational frequencies to help your nervous system release stored tension so healing can happen somewhere deeper than words can reach.
While you have been through so much, you neither deserved nor are at fault for what has happened to you. You are worthy of respect, kindness, and love — from others and yourself.
Your mind, body, and spirit deserve to be supported in a safe space that allows thoughts, emotions, and sensations to flow at your own pace in a way that is comfortable to you. You are invited to explore the current offerings of sound journeys and book at your convenience.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
Your nervous system has waited long enough.
Sessions are available in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, both indoors and outdoors. You’re welcome to email any questions to meredith@resilientwomenco.com.
Sound healing is for any woman who carries more than her words can describe.
This space welcomes you wherever you are on your unique healing journey.
You may choose a sound journey if:
You’re rebuilding your sense of self and need a space that doesn’t required you to explain
You’re a survivor that would like to explore other wellness practices
You give care easily yet rarely receive
Your nervous system is running on overdrive and you need a space place to land
You would like a gentle way to release years of chronic stress and tension.
You’re a woman that is looking to incorporate more self-care into her life
What to Expect
From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
Here is how a session typically unfolds, so you can arrive feeling empowered to receive support.
1 - Arrive & Settle In
I’ll welcome you into the space and invite you to share anything you would like to before we get started. You will choose where and how you feel the most comfortable in the space. I will briefly go over what you can expect as far as sounds and the session as you find what works for you.
2 - The Sound Journey
You will be free to move and attune to your body and mind. At any point, you may signal to pause. This is your journey to experience and you are empowered to choose what feels right for you, knowing you are safely supported. This will be a touch-free experience.
3 - The Gentle Return
After the sound journey ends, we let the quiet settle. You are invited to return to the present moment at your own pace. You are welcome to sit in silence or gently move your body if that feels good to you. There will be time for you to explore how the experience resonated with you if you choose to do so.
4 - After the Session
You are encouraged to drink plenty of water to nourish your body. You will be invited to keep an open mind and attune to how your body and mind respond to the session. It is possible for emotions to come up and to feel more tired as the effects of the sound bath linger.
What you may feel during & after
The frequencies guide your brain from the busy beta state toward the restful alpha and theta states offering a state of relaxation.
A slower heart rate &
quieter mind
You might notice your body soften, move, or emotions you didn't plan for. You’re not falling apart; it’s your body recognizing it's safe enough to process and let go.
A release of what your mind & body have been holding
Trauma often creates distance between you and your physical self. Sound can begin to gently rebuild that bridge at whatever pace feels right for you.
A reconnection to your own body

Things women usually ask before booking.
-
Genuinely, no. It may be a new experience to you; but sound healing has been used for centuries.
Many clients feel a little skeptical going in and pleasantly surprised coming out. You don't have to believe in anything for it to work — your nervous system responds to frequency whether or not you think it will.
-
Not at all. You are invited to share whatever you'd like during your session, and equally welcome to share nothing. There is no intake form that asks you to relive your story; however, we will ask you to fill out some basic client information.
We meet you where you are, which sometimes means meeting you in silence. -
That’s a welcome thing here, nothing to manage or apologize for. Tears, signs, spontaneous yawning, laughter — these are all signs that your nervous system is processing as it needs to and a normal human experience. You will never be rushed through a feeling, and you will have the support of someone who meets you where you’re at with empathy.
-
You’re invited to wear whatever feels most comfortable to you and encouraged to have something tasty in your belly. You may choose to set aside time after the experience to sit with any emotions or thoughts that arise.
-
No. Sound healing is a wellness and self-care practice. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
If you are currently working with a therapist, sound healing can complement that work beautifully.
If you are in crisis, please reach out to a mental health professional or crisis line first.RAINN’s National Sexual Assault 24/7 Hotline: 800-656-HOPE or text HOPE to 64673

Many clients with anxiety and trauma histories find sound healing deeply supportive and we always work within your comfort level.
We will never place instruments on your body without explicit consent, and you are always welcome to adjust, sit up, or step out at any time.
If you have specific concerns, reach out before booking and we'll talk through whether this is a good fit for where you are right now.
