A Space Made for Survivors by a Survivor
Resilient Women Co. was built on a simple belief: survivors deserve support that meets them in real life, not just in crisis or in clinical hour once a week.
When it comes to healing from after sexual assault, there are two common paths forward for survivors — crisis support and therapy. Whether it’s calling a hotline, getting a forensic exam, or visiting a rape crisis center, crisis support is a common first step in the healing process. While crisis support services are essential, it’s main goal is to address and deescalate the current crisis, often neglecting the long-term emotional and mental impact an assault can have.
The second path survivors often explore is therapy by a licensed, clinical professional that can diagnose and treat any mental health issues. Therapy can be invaluable after a sexual assault; however, it can come with long waitlists, high costs, or simply not being what someone needs at that moment.
What’s missing is the space in between. Where do survivors go when the crisis is over but they still feel like a stranger in their own body? Where do they turn when talk therapy isn’t addressing the somatic signs experienced after an assault? Where can they feel validated in what they experienced and talk to other survivors that can innately relate?
That space is where Resilient Women Co. lives.
Trauma-informed, Survivor-led healing.
Everything we offer is through a trauma-informed lens.
Your safety is our top priority for all that we do and you have the power to choose what you need in the moment.
You can keep your eyes open, closed, or a soft gaze. You can say “pause” and everything stops. You can leave at any time, for any reason, with no explanation owed.
You never have to disclose details of what happened to you in order to be helped. Nothing here requires you to relive anything. The goal is to bring you back to the safety of the present moment.
We know the value of healing our mind and body in a safe setting. We offer emotional support, sound healing, and trauma-informed yoga to women.
Meredith Wilson
Meredith is someone who has learned that our deepest wounds can become our most powerful tools for healing others. As a resilient survivor of trauma who has navigated the complexities of mental health recovery, she brings both lived experience and deep empathy to situations. Her journey has taught her that healing not a destination but a continuous process that requires courage, vulnerability, and, often, the guidance of others who can hold space for our pain while helping us discover our inherent strength.
From a young age, Meredith has been a safe place that people turn to in moments of crisis and hardship. With a calm demeanor, curiosity and compassion, she meets individuals where they are at without judgement and unabashedly dives into complex topics such as trauma, mental health issues, and relationship dynamics. Meredith’s approach is grounded in authenticity, warmth, and approachability.
In the fall, Meredith will continue her education journey by pursuing a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to ultimately become a licensed professional counselor. Her long-term vision is to establish a private practice focused on trauma recovery for women that have experienced sexual assault.
Raised in Arkansas, Meredith has planted roots in Fort Worth, Texas with her young son. In her free time, you’ll often find her with a non-fiction book in her hand, car camping at a state park, or going on a spontaneous adventure.
